This was the sight that greeted us this morning
When she spot us on the porch, she ventured back shortly with her newborn
Isn't she lovely?
Well done Mum!
Note: Sadly we see less and less deer on the island, a direct result of a lot of construction.
And then we heard broadcast news...

L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE!!!!
Congratulations Belgium!!
Sorry USA but better luck next time!
Congrats to Belgium also! We have seen deer here before, but I don't recall ever seeing a fawn. How beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Aimee
PS: Love that shadow in your second photo!
Thank you Aimee! There used to be a lot of deer on the island and many fawns in the past, sad!
ReplyDeleteI love taking photographs but I am not very good at it!
Incredible view at your doorsteps, really adorable! Good luck to the football team, our luck left us last week end!
ReplyDeleteWonderful deer photos! I love watching the deer in the evenings when they venture out of the woods and into our alfalfa field. They're so pretty. Congrats to Belgium. Soccer isn't my thing, but I did see a few minutes of our (USA) phenomenal goalie. Even a non sports fan could get excited about that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Judy. Have a great time tomorrow with the family (but don't work too hard!)
DeleteThat little fawn is just adorable! How special to get to see this up close. Enjoy your afternoon my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteToday she brought her Dad along Diane, they are quite a family!
DeleteHugs to you too Dear and Happy Fourth!
Noelle,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sight to see right outside your front door. These pictures are so pretty, and I have a special fondness for the deer.
There is a deer that comes and goes at the park near our house, and the last few days husband has been playing basketball there and has spotted him . I went there today, and no sight of him. But I did see a deer at the same park before. It may or may not have been the same one.
Happy Fourth of July, friend. Freedom is a precious thing, indeed.
love,
~Sheri
