For Pet Lovers Only...

For those of you who have yet to meet me, my name is Maira (from Chimaira) and yes, that's my true name!

Like all pets in this family, I was rescued (at the eleventh hour, truly!) and came on this Pacific NW island three years ago.

Mum says I'm all hair at 8.5 pounds and I'm called a long haired American Tabby or so they told Mum at the jail (pound)! My favourite spot? On her lap!

'Mac' is Mum's shadow but I am his. I just refuse to play Frisbee!

When Mum gets a parcel, I get first 'dibs'!

 Life is good!

Copycat!

  1. Noelle,
I have always been a 'DOG' person, so I can't help but smile when I see pictures of Mac. I hope he is doing well, and I think it is so special of you to rescue such animals and make them a part of your family.

    Love,
    ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, so were we if truth be told but Maira won our heart and Corgis & kitties get along famously. These two bring so much life in this household, we can't imagine one without the other! 'Mac' is our second Corgi and at 30.5 pounds a lot of love! (our little gal, also a rescue, was very little at 16.5!)
      Hugs,

  5. Maria and Mac they just go together. They are both beautiful.
Angus says hello, and my five cats say "you will have fun teasing that dog" to Maria.

    1. Many M'am! Hah, 5 cats, your houshold sounds like my daughter's: 4 cats, 2 dogs and a bunny!
Maira does know how to get fun: she perches on a bench whilst 'Mac' likes to stretch under so she has a perfect perch to swipe him once or twice...So far, no claws involved...I think 'Mac' wouldn't care much for that!

    1. You are so right Maria! As our children are now grown up, Mac and Maira are now the kiddies in the family (and don't they know it!)
