'There is a serene and settled majesty to woodland scenery that enters into the soul and delights and elevates it, and fills it with noble inclinations.'
(Washington Irving)
Rain, cool nights and just a hint of Autumn...
Summer is almost over...
Go, sit upon the lofty hill,
And turn your eyes around,
Where waving woods and waters wild
Do hymn an autumn sound.
(E. Barrett Browning)
'Never say there is nothing beautiful in the world anymore! There is always something to make you wonder in the shape of a tree, the trembling of a leaf...'
(Albert Schweitzer)

DeleteTake care Dear, prayers and thoughts with you and yours always!
Noelle,
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Autumn is my favorite season too. I am starting to feel it, as you are, in the early mornings. These quotes are wonderful, especially the one by Albert Schweitzer. I can't wait for all things that this special season brings.
Love,
~Sheri
Same here Sheri! I have all sorts of plans: new books to read (of course), sketching, knitting and lots of baking! Then there is that wonderful blessed season following...I feel like a child again!
DeleteHugs,
We had a stunning couple of days, spring has sprung a little bit early this year, maybe a hot summer but you are just starting to cool, funny old world isn't it.
