Island Corgi...

It's beginning to feel like Winter is on its way...Br...
Chilly nights, gusty winds, cloudy sky and rain...
Hey, normal weather for the Pacific NW coast, right?!

In between (rain) drops my human took me to the beach...
No life ring, it's just that I am still recovering, hence the 'no scratch' (inflatable) collar...
Nasty spider! I no longer look like Scarface Mum says, but I have a long way to go!

Doc happy with my progress though...Says I have been really good during this ordeal...
(Got two biscuits out of her for that!)

Psst...Mum found another of those spiders...
No more Mrs. Nice! Whack! Down the loo it went...

Ah, those heavenly smells! Can't get enough of these!
Never mind I just ran around (and around) like a lunatic...
(see my leash all twisted!)
I love the sand (and digging!).
We do not have a lot of snow here (my all time favourite!)
but it is a bit like it, don't you think so?
Ja, well at least for us dogs!

Stormy weather as I said!
Ferry docked on island side and will resume service at 1500 hours, ending with the 1900 hours!
Curfew time Mum calls it, Dad says they just pull the bridge over the moat!
(not sure why since we have NO bridge?)
No late outings on the mainland for us Folks!
Mum says the only time of the year she misses it is at Christmas time...
She loves the twinkling lights on homes!

Nap time Folks!
See you...
Me (MAC)

    1. The island (with the Olympics) in the background is at time breathtaking but the ferry schedule is not for everyone!
Mac is snuggled up on his big boy bed for this blustery night!
      Hugs Diane!

  2. Glad Mac is getting better his collar suits him looks like a safety device in case he falls in the water.
Angus went on a picnic a few weeks back and he fell in the water, wet and smelly dog to take home in the car, I didn't go but was told about it.

    1. Angus on a picnic?! Mac loves those but for an islander, hates water! That rear paw has to be the closest he has ever been to the water (rather cold too!).
      Hugs Friend!

    1. I about had a heart attack when I spotted that spider Kayla! Same place too! I wasn't kidding when I said I whacked it and flushed in the loo! I never minded spiders before but this took a toll on our little family. From now on, it is war!
      Take care Friend!

    1. A Corgi mix rescued? I'd love to learn more! By the by, Mac (not his real name as we like to remain anonymous) is also a rescued, albeit full breed. His previous human suffered skin allergies. Her loss was our gain though, he has been with us 7 years!
      All the best,

  5. I have been praying for you, Mac!
I am now praying that you have a good "freeze" so those darn spiders will die off!
I hope we have one too, as I need to crawl under the house to get the Christmas boxes in a couple weeks.

    1. Mac says Thank you!! He adds a good freeze would also help Dad's garden and a White Christmas would be great!
Better watch out when you crawl under!
