A Memory Between Us, Book Review

Publisher's description:

Major Jack Novak has never failed to meet a challenge--until he meets army nurse Lieutenant Ruth Doherty. When Jack lands in the army hospital after a plane crash, he makes winning Ruth's heart a top priority mission. But he has his work cut out for him. Not only is Ruth focused on her work in order to support her orphaned siblings back home, she carries a shameful secret that keeps her from giving her heart to any man. Can Jack break down her defenses? Or are they destined to go their separate ways?

A Memory Between Us is the second book in the WINGS OF GLORY series, which follows the three Novak brothers, B-17 bomber pilots with the US Eighth Air Force stationed in England during World War II.
My review:

Sarah Sundin's 'Wings of Glory' series reveals a rich historical WW2 background amidst the English countryside and the skies of occupied Europe! She also never fails to describe the homefront including the restrictions and the rationing in the United States.
In 'A Memory Between Us', she surprised me once again. I often reach out for WW2 stories, it seems to hold a certain attraction I cannot deny. I love the era, the Big Band music and the stories behind the stories but it is the author's faith that ultimately reaches out to readers like me which makes it different!

In 'A Distant Melody', (see review here) I had already discovered her talent as storyteller and because of her penchant for describing avionic details, I would often check with my own Fly Boy for B17 flights details and accuracy.
It is however in her heart catching plots that I found myself loosing sleep time...What can I say but her books are truly hard to put down!
This book two in the series provides readers with all the vivid details of wartime airfare, love, forgiveness and God's unwavering faith in our ability to trust Him in all ways! Never before have I understood better the phrase 'Under His Wings'!
I would not wish to spoil a good story for you. Suffice to say the protagonists of 'A Memory Between Us' will pull at your heart's strings!
It remains for me to say 'Thank you' Sarah Sundin for a most enjoyable Historical Romance novel!

Nothing less than 5 stars for this book!

A quick mention'Blue Skies Tomorrow', Book three of 'Wings of Glory' series will be released later this month and since my blog was selected to participate in the Blog Tours I will also review it! Check Sarah Sundin's Blog for more information here.

Note: As always, I would like to call reader's attention that I was not asked to review this particular title nor was I given this book free. I happily spend my own pennies for it! All opinions are mine only!
