Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile.

I myself have never seen such mushroom but isn't it lovely?
Perhaps a faerie hides under its dome during the rain...

Autumn, the perfect season for baking scrumptious pies...
and all sorts of breads...
(Just in case you think I never stop reading, cooking/baking is my favourite pastime after reading!)
Cool Autumn nights are also the perfect excuse for a cup of cocoa...or two...
Lots of wool blankets nearby to keep us warm...

A knitting hankering....It happens regularly...then I want to read...
I know the feeling...It has not stopped raining and the forecast calls for gale...
(I could not get Mac to help out so this little guy came to the rescue)
And for all those who inquired, Mac is on the mend!
Autumn is with us...and I just want to curl in a chair and read...
Noelle,
ReplyDeleteI am lovin' all the Autumn oranges on here today. Oh, that apple pie looks so yummy. I love a nice cup of cocoa during the Fall and Winter months. And those blankets look so warm and cozy.
Enjoy your reading.
Love,
~Sheri
Autumn is defintively my favourite season Sheri, I plan to enjoy every minute of it! Then comes Christmas, that special time of the year...There is nothing like it!
DeleteBlessings,
Glad Mac is getting better, I done with Autumn and winter I want to play in the sun but we are having a lovely Spring.
ReplyDeleteMerle.....
It seems the seasons come and go so fast Merle, never mind the fact it is all reversed for you and us! So here are some heartfelt wishes for a great Spring and I will look forward to the many special things which comes our way during the next two seasons!
DeleteMaybe we might even see some snow, Mac's favourite!!
~ I feel all cosy and ready for Autumn with this lovely post! the colours are so lovely....Happy new week, dear Noelle....Hugs Maria x
ReplyDeleteI feel ready for Autumn Maria! This is the time of the year when I feel most energetic!
DeleteHugs,
I love this post. I would love to see that mushroom. I dont think I ever have seen one like that..............yes, time for baking. Now Tristens party is out of the way I am going to find all my recipes out and see what I can get done. Woo hoo, that is if it stays cool.
ReplyDeleteLuv Janice
Getting a bit chilly here, what with the deluvial rain and gale we experienced since Friday...I keep on baking...and as fast as I do, my family is eating...So much for freezing!
DeleteAs soon as dry dock is over, I hope to find a couple of bushels of apples...I am in the mood for all sorts of sweets with apple filling!
The photos on this post make me hungry.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your dog is getting better now. It is a little cold and always grey these days in the UK. First fog this morning.
God bless.
Ah well Victor, I always seem to be in the kitchen these days!
DeleteCold and grey here as well and we call this island 'Foggy bottom'!
Blessings,
I love this post. I love all of the pictures. I have never seen a mushroom like that and I am sure you are right about the fairy. I really love this season. It feels so good. This is the first time my doggies have felt cold weather since we left our island and they love it.
ReplyDeleteI agree: this season feels so good!!
DeleteThis really is a beautiful post and I'll spend a little time writing some of your points in my journal tonight. If I could write in small letters....I would write....I struggle in the Fall. It's my least favorite season and every year, I try to find ways to love it. Blogging has helped. Sweet hugs my friend.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is so full of promises Diane, don't you feel it? Remember also that it precedes the most beautiful event of the calendar year...
ReplyDeleteI believe blogging has helped many of us!
God be with you always,
I'm all ready to sit down in a chair and enjoy the changing season. Just too much to prepare before I sit in front of the fire with a good black and white film on and snuggle under a blanket. Love this time of year and I love this autumn post xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chel! With the stormy weather we are experiencing at this time, I am only too willing to think of those days involving timeless celebrations...
DeleteHappy to hear we are not the only one to enjoy black and white movies!
Yes, I love autumn too. What a beautiful shining orange post. We're back in France for the first autumn days... but I wish I could see summer turn to gold and red by the Parcific!
ReplyDeleteWell Amelie, you might have more chance to witness a true Indian Summer in France than here...Gale winds of up to 70 and 80 miles per hour predicted for tonight and torrential rains for the last few days have quite dampened (no pun intended) our enthusiasm for the return of Autumn...It seems Mother Nature is not in the best of mood!
DeleteC'est la vie n'est ce pas?! Bon sejour!
