"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." (Winston Churchill, August 1941 speaking of the sacrifices made by many R.A.F. pilots) NEVER FORGET...
I follow as well, and have spent the past 20 minutes perusing your blog. I am sorry to say that although I usually remember December 7, today I was so busy that I had forgotten. Thank you for reminding me. Your corgi reminds me of the movie 'The Queen' with Helen Mirren - and QEIIs corgis - and also the documentaries I watch about the royals.
With no broadcast telly we rely mostly on the wireless (transistor) for NPR news and to our dismay nothing was mentioned this morning (perhaps due to Mr. Mandela's life celebration?). There has always been a Corgi (all rescues but for one) in this family Judy! They have such lively disposition, half cat and half dog almost! I imagine WI must be very cold...Br...18 degrees F here, unheard of! Hugs to Misty,
Noelle, my husband and I were so very touched by your post on this day.
